Cliftons Projects have been appointed to provide Project Management services for the Standby Generator Capital Works at the Dorset County Hospital site in Dorchester. The scheme comprises the installation of two new LV backup generators, together with associated building works, enabling activities, surveys, and systems integration, all delivered within a live and operational hospital environment.
Our Role
Cliftons Projects are providing Capital Works Project Management services, leading and coordinating the project through RIBA Stages 5 to 6. Our remit includes:
Overseeing the installation, commissioning, and integration of new standby generators and associated infrastructure
Coordinating enabling works and ensuring alignment with concurrent New Hospital Programme activities
Managing key interfaces between the Trust’s Estates team, Principal Supply Chain Partner, design consultants, and specialist contractors
Ensuring full compliance with HTM standards, technical specifications, and Trust governance processes
Maintaining operational continuity and safety throughout the construction period
Providing proactive risk, cost, and change management to protect the programme and budget
Through weekly site presence, structured progress reporting, and early risk mitigation, Cliftons Projects ensure seamless coordination, robust communication, and the timely delivery of this critical facility.
